The Masters of Pro Miniature Golf
Oct 9-12, 2003
Myrtle Beach and N. Myrtle Beach, SC

The Hawaiian Rumble course is one of three courses in the Greater Myrtle Beach area used for The Masters. Here, the signature Volcano looms behind the scenic Number 4 hole (dogleg right, par two).
If you are a miniature golf fanatic, you will not want to miss the upcoming Masters of Pro Mini Golf -- slated for October 9-12, 2003, in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The Masters is sponsored by the US Pro Mini Golf Association(USPMGA) and is the tournament that decides which pros will make Team USA. Both the USPMGA and Team USA are headquartered in Myrtle Beach. Although not quite there yet, the ultimate goal of the USPMGA is to build sponsorship of The Masters in order to offer a purse of $100,000 for the Masters and $50,000 for its sister tournament, The U.S. Open, held on the same courses in May of each year.

While three Myrtle Beach area courses share hosting responsibilities for the two tournaments, the Hawaiian Rumble course is the official home site and headquarters for both the USPMGA and the TEAM USA training center.  The other two courses are Sutter's Mill (N. Myrtle Beach) and Hawaiian Caverns (Myrtle
Beach).

The Team USA training center is built to resemble the types of holes, courses, and surfaces Team USA will encounter in the World Games and, eventually, in  the Olympics.

For all of the details on The Masters, the U.S. Open, how to join the ProMiniGolf Players or Course Owners Associations, and more, click on http://www.prominigolf.com to beam yourself to the USPMGA home page. Once you're finished there, just back click your way to this page and more Myrtle Beach experiences.

Most United States miniature golf courses do not meet the specifications required for international competition. Here's one that does!. Located adjacent to Hawaiian Rumble, this is the Official Training Center for Team USA. (All photos on this page by  Sheila Wade.)
